The Court Reporter Podcast
The Court Reporter Podcast is dedicated to advancing justice, sustainability, and professional collaboration through the following key goals:
Bridging the Educational Gap: We aim to improve collaboration between court reporters and attorneys, ensuring accurate and complete legal records. This partnership is crucial for serving justice fairly and effectively, though it’s often overlooked in court reporting school, and even in law schools on the attorneys' end. We discuss everything that school didn't prepare us for, allowing court reporters to show up every day with confidence, dignity and integrity.
Reducing the Nationwide Shortage of Court Reporters: We highlight the importance of court reporters and address the nationwide shortage by promoting it to high schools and the general public. This effort raises awareness and strengthens the legal system, ensuring access to justice for all.
Supporting Wellbeing, Life Balance and Economic Growth: We advocate for work-life balance by teaching court reporters how to delegate administrative and personal tasks, allowing them to focus on what they do best: capturing testimony. This focus on delegation supports economic growth by opening up more job opportunities, and it promotes mental health and wellbeing by allowing court reporters to streamline their business processes.
Sustainable Fashion: Through our @courthousefashion blog on Instagram, we encourage legal professionals to adopt sustainable and comfortable fashion choices that allow them to look and feel their best while maintaining a professional and polished appearance. By promoting upcycling and second-hand shopping in a stylish and professional, chic way, we contribute to responsible consumption, environmental protection, and climate action.
Our mission is to create a more efficient, accurate, and sustainable justice system by aligning these efforts with broader global goals.
